The easiest sturdy bean burgers you ever will make. They hold up well when sandwiched between two toasty buns, topped with some mayo, a thick slice of tomato and some crisp lettuce! You can even prep and cook these in advance so they make for a grab and go lunch box filler, and are delicious served bunless and bowl style with your favourite salad.
Preparation Time - 10 minutes

Servings - 4
2 cans of blackbeans drained and rinsed well
40g Lifeforce smooth almond butter
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
80g porridge oats
2 tbsp Lifeforce coconut oil for cooking
Buns, lettuce, tomato and mayo for serving
Place beans, almond butter, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and salt into a large bowl. Blend to a chunky paste using a hand blender.
Add the porridge oats to the bean mixture and divide it into 4 even balls. Use your hands to shape into burger patties.
Heat a large pan over a medium heat and preheat your oven to 180C (350F).
Add coconut oil to your pan and fry the burgers for 3 minutes on each side. Then transfer to the oven to cook for a further 8 - 10 minutes.
Serve in buns with toppings of choice, on top of a bowl of your favourite salad, or you could even wedge one between two slices of your favourite bread for an epic alternative sandwich filler!
